ENJOYING THE SNOW
Winter weather brings plenty of excitement for our students! Fresh snow turns recess and outdoor time into an opportunity for fun, movement, and exploration. When bundled up in warm coats, hats, mittens, and boots, students can safely enjoy activities like building snowpeople or snow structures, making snow art, going on nature walks, or playing active games that keep their bodies moving. Getting outside—even on snowy days—supports physical health, creativity, and a love of being active in all seasons.
Families can continue this fun beyond the school day by enjoying snowy spring weather together—whether it’s going for a neighborhood walk, sledding on a small hill, building snowpeople, or heading out for a family hike to notice signs of spring beginning to appear. A little fresh air and shared outdoor time can make snowy days something to look forward to at home as well.
SCHOOL COUNCIL
Education is changing in Alberta, and parent perspectives matter. School Council is one way families can stay informed, share ideas, and help support student success. Whether you’re curious, have questions, or want to get involved, this is a welcoming place to start. There will be time for open discussion and conversation about what is happening in our school. Take a peak at our agenda and our minutes from last month to see what we will be chatting about.
Join us online on Tuesday, April 7 at 6:00 pm—we hope to see you there! (To join the meeting, you will be able to click the following link: https://teams.microsoft.com/meet/21895959027149?p=szRlpqCNbVd3ewqU8Z.)
