IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES

Monday, October 14 – NO SCHOOL (Thanksgiving)

Wednesday, October 16 – 6:00 pm - School Council and Parent Fundraising Society Annual General Meeting. (There will be the elections of the executive, reviewing the Parent Fundraising Society finances, discussing plans for this coming year and updating the bylaws.)

October 19 – Deadline for placing orders for the Oct. 24 Fun Lunch. (Order through healthyhunger.ca)

IMPORTANT | Casino Volunteers Still Needed

October 19 and 20 are the dates we were given for our Casino Fundraiser. We still have five spots that are not filled.  If we cannot fill all volunteer slots, the Casino cancels our fundraiser and we are not permitted to apply for another 18 months…which would put us to another three years before another opportunity arises.  With this opportunity giving us over $70 000, it is critical that we fill the spots so we get the money!  If you, or your family / friends, are able to help, it would be greatly appreciated!!! We still need help with the following:

-        Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11:15 pm – 3:30 am – Count Room Volunteer

-        Sunday, Oct. 20 from 11:15 am – 7:30 pm – Chip Runner

-        Sunday, Oct. 20 from 6:45 pm – 3:30 am – Chip Runner #1

-        Sunday, Oct. 20 from 6:45 pm – 3:30 am – Chip Runner #2

-        Sunday, Oct. 20 from 11:15 pm – 3:30 am – Count Room Volunteer

We ended up with enough apple orders to proceed with the order! Thank you to all that ordered!  The delivery date will be approximately Oct. 25. We will email once we have a confirmed date and additional details about pick up.

SCHOOL COUNCIL

On Wednesday, our School Council will be holding their first meeting of the year. Please see the email send out earlier this week for details.  The teachers from Grade Four, Grade Five, and Music will be sharing a bit about what they’ve been learning so we’d love to see you there if you are free.
