OUTDOOR FIRE DRILL

Fire Alarm

Sometime this coming week, we will be helping students practice what to do if the fire bell rings while they are already outside. Each class has a designated spot on the field where they must line up during a fire drill. Students and teachers normally practice going to this spot from inside the school, but this week we will practice going there from outside.

The drill will take place between 9:12 and 9:15 a.m., after students arrive at school and while they are still wearing their outdoor clothing. Teachers will meet students at their usual morning lineup spots by their regular entry doors before the drill begins.

If you drop off your children, we kindly ask that you leave the school grounds during the practice. This helps reduce distractions and allows students and staff to complete the drill smoothly.

Teachers will talk to students ahead of time so they know that this practice will happen sometime during the week.

DECEMBER’S “WEDNESDAY FESTIVE WINTER WEAR DAYS”

Bunny, Santa Hat, Holiday Hat, Christmas, Animal, Festive, Xmas

Each Wednesday this December, we will have ‘Wednesday Festive Winter Wear Days’.  Students are invited to wear festive sweaters, t-shirts, hats, headbands, socks, etc.  Anything festive that they would like to wear on that day is great. (This is optional.)

Hands, Mitts, Gratitude, Winter, Snow, Mittens, Valentine, Valentines, Heart Hands, Snow Heart, February

Students are outside in the snow a lot during the day.
