Spring Break Fun: Let’s Get Outside!
Spring is here, and Spring Break is the perfect time to go outside, move your body, and have FUN! Fresh air and sunshine help our brains and bodies feel happy and strong.
Why Play Outside?

Fun Outdoor Ideas to Try!
You don’t need fancy equipment—just your imagination!
Get Moving!
- Play tag, hide-and-seek, or freeze dance
- Ride your bike or scooter
- Kick a soccer ball or throw a frisbee
- Create an obstacle course with cones, chalk, or sticks
Explore Nature
- Go for a family walk or hike
- Look for signs of spring like buds, birds, or bugs
- Collect rocks or leaves and make a nature collage
- Try cloud watching—what shapes do you see?
Be Creative Outside
- Draw pictures with sidewalk chalk
- Paint rocks (and hide them for others to find!)
- Put on a pretend play or outdoor concert
Calm & Cozy Outside
- Read a book on a blanket
- Practice yoga or stretching in the sunshine
- Listen for nature sounds and count how many you hear
Outdoor Safety Tips
- Wear weather‑appropriate shoes or boots
