FOOD DRIVE
Our grade five leadership students have organized a food drive to help support several different food banks in Calgary this month. We’re asking students to bring a canned or boxed food item to school to contribute to this important cause. Non-perishable food donations will also be accepted at the Thursday’s Family Dance.
QUARTERS FOR KINDNESS TO SUPPORT THE MOOSE HIDE CAMPAIGN
We invite all students to bring ‘Quarters for Kindness’ as a thank you for the vegan moose hid pins they will receive on Thursday, May 15. All activities done at the school around this learning will be taken on in an age-appropriate way as we strive to help all of our children be kinder, gentler and more supportive to everyone in the world. See below for more information.
WEAR YOUR BEST TO CELEBRATE WORLD DAY FOR CULTURAL DIVERSITY
On Wednesday, May 21, it is World Day for Cultural Diversity. To help celebrate, students and staff are encouraged to dress in clothes they would wear to a family celebration, or in a traditional / cultural outfit to celebrate their culture. This could include wearing something that is important / special to them or their family such as a hat, jewelry, a special shirt, shoes or outfit, etc.
