Alien In-Line Coming to NLS Oct. 2 - Nov. 3!

Alien In-Line skating lessons will be offered to all NLS students in Kindergarten to Grade 5 this year.  There will be no cost to families for this experience thanks to money raised during the Casino Fundraiser last year.  The entire $12789 for the program will be covered by the Parent Fundraising Society!

Please see the Alien In-Line Information Sheet on the right hand side of this post that contains many important details about the program, safety gear, helmets and clothing that should be warn. Families MUST return the Acknowledgment of Risk and Consent of Parent / Guardian form for their child to participate. Please check your child's plastic folder for the form after Monday, September 18.

Each class will participate in four 55-minute lessons. (We had to adjust from 1-hour to accommodate additional time between groups for safety equipment to be ready for the next group.)

If you are a cleared volunteer and are able to help getting kneepads, elbow pads and in-line skates on, please contact your child’s teacher.  The more volunteers we have to get on equipment, the more time students have to actually skate during their sessions. The homeroom teacher will be present and is the teacher in charge during lessons, but the Alien In-Line instructor will teach.

Please see the adjusted schedule to the right hand side of this post for when your child will have lessons. **If there are additional changes required, your homeroom teacher will let you know as soon as possible*.
