Throughout the school year, we will need many volunteers to run programs or activities in school (such as Alien In-Line skating, special hands-on science experiments, more complicated art projects, or community walks), and to go on field trips.

Volunteers are also badly needed to help the Parent Fundraising Society & School Council to plan and run events such as a family bbq or family dance, to organize hoodie & t-shirt sales, and to sort & distribute Fun Lunches, etc.

If you have lived in Canada for more than one year and would like to become a cleared volunteer, Mrs. Brinson can help start the application process. Just fill out the Annual Volunteer Registration on the right hand side of this post and bring it to the school with a piece of photo ID (such as your Driver's License or Passport) and she will generate the letter you need to complete your application with the Calgary Police Service. 

Please note, there is NO COST to obtain a Police Information Check (PIC) to become a volunteer and your PIC will be valid for five years before it needs to be renewed.

If you have already had your PIC and it is not expired, you simply need to complete a new Annual Volunteer Registration form and return it to Mrs. Brinson.

The more volunteers we have, the stronger our school community becomes and the more opportunities NLS, our School Council, and our Parent Fundraising Society can offer!
