Clubs and Extra-Curricular Activities

This year, our teachers will be offering optional clubs and extra-curricular activities for students in grades 1-5.  Some offerings will be during the lunch period and some will be after school.

If an optional activity is being offered after school, we will be sending home permission slips for students that show an interest. This is due to the fact that we will require parent agreement that they are able to pick their child up from school after the activity on the days it is offered. Activities offered during the lunch break do not require you to sign a slip as the activity will be within school hours.

The optional activities have been spaced out throughout the year for each grade to provide equitable opportunities.

Activities, clubs and extra-curricular opportunities may include:

- Board games

- Cooperative games

- Chess

- Crib

- Art Club

- Crafts Club

- Coding Club

- Choir

- Pottery

- Crochet

- Friendship Club

- Pride Club

- Running Club

Details about what opportunities will be offered during the month will be included in the Northern Lights News for the start of the upcoming month.

For the month of October, we will be running our first clubs, which will include:

- an after school games club for grade threes (details and permission slips to come home with students that express an interest on or before September 27)

- a lunch time craft club for grade twos

- a lunch time Pride club for grades three to five

Watch for future announcements as the year progresses!
